[ Phainon edges closer, though, leaning in to try and listen to the questions as they come, desperately nosy. He frowns when he hears it all, though, shaking his head. ]
[ "Is that Phainon too!?" the voice goes up to an unholy screech of excitement. "Phanclub is never going to believe this!" ]

It is Phainon and Cipher, of course.
[ He swears he hears pouting, but they begin asking more questions. They seem benign but then get more intimate, such as "who do you enjoy sex with the most" and "do you get a funny feeling hanging out with Phainon?"
By the time he deigns to hang up, though, the damage is done. There's a faint puff of magic and then a set of pointed, terrier ears in the same colors as his hair. He doesn't immediately notice. ]

[ He raises his hand to touch his ears - or where they normally would be. They are gone, and it's only one agitated ear flick from the one his earring now resides on that clues him in. He raises both hands to touch the back of the terrier ears, staring ahead blankly. ]
[ Is it because of the ears at all, or is it because they're not cat ears? Both ears go back at Phainon laughing at him, while Fig Stew makes a curious awoo? from the ground. ]
It's some kind of trick, or glamour. You're sure this isn't Cipher's doing somehow?
[ Yeah he is, looking visibly sulky about the ears as Phainon reaches up to touch one. He doesn't flinch away, of course, as used to Phainon's hands on him as anything in this world and even beyond it. The fur, despite looking like a terrier's, is as soft as his hair, and he closes his eyes a little. ]
Mmm.
[ It's something between a rumble and a grunt; one might even call it a purr, were they willing to throw down in a kitchen. ]
[ Phainon has to bite his cheek to stop himself from beaming, glad that he, at least, gets to do this. As tempting as it is to keep playing, he relents, thumb brushing over the ear one last time. ]
They might go away with time. Let us hope so!
[ And then he's turning, ready to explore again, ignoring the heat on his face. ]
[ He barely keeps from making a disgruntled noise; he wonders if it feels as good for Phainon's ears to be touched as it did his. He ruminates over that as he follows Phainon further into the house.
The bathrooms are nice! We'll be sharing one, and there are at least two others. The attic room that the Cat King can have has its own en suite, it's just smaller.
