I should have assumed. You were very interested in the jewellery we looked at.

[ His hand squeezes gently. ]

Can I see?

[ Squeezing? Now he's just brazenly being felt up; Mydei's not upset about it though. Without answering, he shrugs the jacket off and sets it on the counter behind Phainon, and then lifts up the hem of his shirt, letting it bunch up at the top of his chest.

There are two simple, plain barbells through his nipples; nothing fancy, as he given care instructions and ordered to let them heal. He was told it'd only take a few days, though, which he's now on the end of - that's part of why he went out shopping, not that he tells Phainon. ]

[ Phainon doesn't hear any complaints, so he lets his fingers touch, waiting.

Pulling away when he feels the shirt being removed, his eyes drink in the sight in front of him. Mydeimos has always been handsome, but seeing a piercing on his chest... That's a new kind of allure, and his eyes are dark as he drinks him in. They're not even that fancy, but they're still pretty, enough to leave him momentarily distracted.

Leaning back into the counter, he coughs. ]

They suit you.

[ Mydeimos asks it bluntly with a smirk, using the way his hands are planted on the counter to squeeze his chest together a little. ]

[ Phainon's mouth drops open, he stares, and then he laughs, shaking his head. ]

Do you want me to?

[strifeborne]

Do you always answer an invitation with a question?

[ Mydeimos reaches out to take Phainon's hands, pulling them up towards his chest. ]

[cyclus]

Only when I think it'll annoy you, which I think this might?

[ Deliberate.

Still, his fingers brush over Mydei's chest, over the piercings, and he swallows, licking his lips. ]

[strifeborne]

I wonder how long you can keep it up, then?

[ He turns it from a statement to a question by lilting his words up at the end. At Phainon's touch, though, he lets out a soft breath, as if surprised. ]

Sensitive.

[cyclus]

Ah! You already answered without a question, therefore I'm the victor.

[ Phainon grins, pressing his thumb in, gentle. ]

Do they hurt?

[strifeborne]

It was absolutely a question! Did you not hear my --

[ Phainon pressing his thumb in makes him cut off, shivering slightly at the touch. He scowls a little at that, but he doesn't push his hand away. ]

No, they do not hurt.

[ Maybe a little, but not in any way that Mydei dislikes. ]

[cyclus]

Oh.

[ No, he recognises that look, the way Mydeimos speaks. He's seen it before, when they've been intimate, and it makes his eyes blaze just a little more. ]

You like it.

[strifeborne]

I would not have considered it if I didn't think I would like it.

[ Defensive - this was supposed to be him harassing Phainon, not the other way around! He doesn't pull away, though, planting his hands on the counter again. ]

[cyclus]

No, of course not.

[ Eyes darker, cheeks a little warm, he leans back into the counter. A question bubbles in his mind, but Phainon swallows it back and away. He can’t be selfish here.

Instead, he blinks up at his friend. ]

Stop pouting.

[strifeborne]

I am not pouting.

[ He's absolutely pouting. His mouth is even turned down. ]

[cyclus]

Mydeimos. You look like I stole your pomegranate juice and drank it in front of you.

[ He pokes that pout with one finger. ]

[strifeborne]

[ Swatting at his hand none too gently, but not actually trying to hurt him. ]

You're usually easier to fluster than this.

[cyclus]

You distracted me with your new adornments.

[ And they’re attractive, which has him more focused and intense. ]

[strifeborne]

[ He smirks a little bit, letting his hand rest on Phainon's neck. ]

And you distracted me with your bite marks. Perhaps we should make it up to each other.

[ The leg pressing up against his is far less subtle. ]

[cyclus]

That wasn’t intentional. Your piercings are.

[ Phainon shifts, hips rolling forward just a little, pleasure warming his body where he stands. With a loose shirt and sweats on, he’s not hiding anything. ]

Would you like me to apologise?

[strifeborne]

[ Mydeimos doesn't say the piercings weren't for Phainon because, in a way, they were; he thought of teasing the man first when he got them. So he says nothing in favor of not lying. Instead his smile only grows. ]

I'd appreciate an apology, only if you let me show mine as well.

[cyclus]

Then tell me, Mydeimos.

[ Hands resting on the other man’s waist now, Phainon feels a little dizzy with the sudden rush of need. In his mind, a quiet voice begs for a kiss, but rationality smothers that away. ]

How should I apologise tonight?

[strifeborne]

[ Mydeimos goes a step further, raising a hand to rest on the bottom of Phainon's neck. One of his thumbs digs into a bruise left by his previous paramour. What he wants is to cover these marks with his own, so that there's no trace of the other on him.

He can't ask that, it's not something he wants to admit to. ]

With your mouth, preferably. I'm feeling lenient in that you may use it as you wish.

[cyclus]

[ The slight edge of pain is heady and bizarrely good, though Phainon imagines he shouldn’t be surprised by it. All of his life cycles have been immeasurably painful, grief and hurt tied up with it, so it would make sense for some wires to be crossed. The prickle of hurt makes something warm trickle through his body.

It feels better with how familiar those hands are, knowing Mydeimos will take care of him. There’s no doubt there.

He bites his tongue, before he laugh, soft and faint. ]

The options are endless, aren’t they? On my knees, or here, exploring your new accessories. I need to decide.

[ Mydeimos knows he's being trusted to only hurt Phainion in a way that is good; in a way that he'll enjoy rather than shy away from. So he drags his nail across that bruised skin again, worrying it. ]

Who said you had to choose? There's time for both.

[ A gentle reminder. ]

[cyclus]

[ It makes him twitch a little, weak under his hands. Phainon knows there are more marks for Mydeimos to discover, bites across his chest and hips, and he wonders at the reaction to those, too, his eyes flickering. ]

Ah, I see.

[ Leaning in, he nuzzles into Mydei's neck a little before kissing his collarbone. ]

I'll do my best.
