[ The bed the apartment came with has been removed, traded out for a large dark chestnut four poster draped in Kremnos red and gold; critically, it's big enough to house at least three people of Mydei's size. The bedroom walls have been painted that same red as well, giving the room more of a den-like feel when the sun doesn't hit the window.
After this many lifetimes, he's not at all surprised that Cipher prefers a stolen bed to her own. Something about being easier to flee a space that isn't yours, maybe; he doesn't think on it too hard, and just makes sure there's enough pillows in the comically large bed to support her and Phainon if they both end up in it at the same time.
He enters the room and spots her immediately, Fig Stew an orange beacon on where he's sprawled over her legs. He lets out a soft huff, affectionate, as he walks over. ]
I thought I heard a cat scratching around.
[ His voice is gentle, but it's loud enough to wake her up unceremoniously if she's really asleep. ]
[ Fleeing to a space that isn't yours... yes, that sounds about right. Because, sometimes, no matter how many things Cipher stuffed into her space it would still feel hauntingly empty. Hollow. Something crucial was missing that she just could never get her paws on. In Okhema, it would be at the tips of her fingers just out of reach. Outside Okhema, there was nothing. Nothing would fill that void. In Decadia, she finds a glimmer of it with the others.
Again, that warmth. The smell. Feeling Fig Stew twitch in his sleep or adjust to his comfort. The sound of Mydei's voice as he returns, just as she expected he would. Just as he was supposed to. She won't put a name to it, but now there are traces of it everywhere.
Cipher chirps, lifting her head with a sweet little "mrrp" upon being roused from her nap. It wasn't a very deep sleep, but her voice is surprisingly thick with it. ]
Oopsies~ you caught me. You're not gonna kick me out, are you?
[ Mydei snorts inelegantly, moving to lay down on the bed alongside her. He's dressed comfortably - that is, in his more familiar exomis, although the armor is set aside since he's at home. It's beginning to warm up, so there's no need to cover as vigorously as he had. ]
I believe everything a cat lays eyes on is hers, is it not?
[ He's teasing, and he finds it amusing that their other non-Amphorean roommate is also a cat. ]
kibby cuddles
